Have you ever felt alone in a crowded room?
I’m back! Okay, so technically my confinement ended like last last week but the first weekend off was really busy! Anyway, apparently we’re not allowed to openly blog much or anything I suppose on army life so I suppose i won’t but overall, it really isn’t too bad. The food is surprisingly good and so are the accommodations! Oh yeah! And the coast line is amazing! The sand is super white,it’s super clean and untouched and the water is like crystal clear! I swear Tekong is an amazing place to have a picnic or a vacation if they allow it some day!
Anyway, yesterday we had our first “Platoon Outing” which kind of failed because well not many turned up and out of those who did, some left because well, I suppose I was late and my phone battery died but nonetheless, we had a lot of fun!
Okay, so we started off with Sheesha-ing at Arab street. Double apple, banana and honeydew flavors followed by a lot of crap talking, IQ questions (I have to admit, my brain has totally died since graduating from school but it was fun…even the lame jokes!) and some other stuff in between. Anyway, later we met Sandy who joined us the rest of the day. Sad to say, our conversation topic was a little towards the Army side (come on, you’re out with Army guys who have only seen Tekong for the last three weeks…what else do we have in common to talk about?). Oh! And we thin someone got stabbed there because we saw Police officers dragging away a few guys and one of them had a bloody shirt and a pad soaked with blood somewhere below the middle of his ribs.
At around midnight-ish guys started leaving but me, Sandy, Zaki, Eddie and Navin stayed there till about 1 a.m. when we decided to catch a movie at the Cathay cineplex. Most seats were filling up and in the end we decided to watch “Knowing” (KNN CB CRAP MOVIE! WASTE OF $10! STUPID STORY LINE! I SWEAR IT’S PROBABLY A FAILED EXTENDED EPISODE OF THE X-FILES OR SOMETHING).
Anyway, the movie ended at around 3 am after which we went for breakfast at some roadside hawker shop. As we were heading there, we could see like rows of taxi’s camping outside of hotel 81 opposite a local hawker centre where there were loads of prostitutes and erm…female male guys (What do you call them again? Transvestites?)?
There we had more random conversations till around 5.30 am at which me Sandy and Navin camped outside the Douby Gaut mrt station waiting for the first train. I pretended to be kanchiong and crawled under the fence while the worker was opening the gate. We had fun in the mrt station because no one was there! We went up and down the travelator so many times! Doing all kinds of stupid things like sitting on it, walking backwards and acting retarded pretending we were suddenly moving so fast (It was fun okay!).
The MRT ride was even better! Navin sat down and me and Sandy were standing and chit chatting then as soon as Navin fell asleep, we both snack off to another cabin and started chit chatting again. It was kind of fun till Navin messaged to say that he heard us talking about sneaking off. Oh well, it was still a blast! We then alighted at Tampines were I accompanied Sandy back home before heading back home myself. It was a very very long day and I was quite tired at the end of it having been awake and going through quite a number of physical activities throughout the day. By the time I reached home, it was 9 am. It was fun though. You know, going to sleep as everyone wakes up. As school children head off to school. As adults head to work and you know that you’re sleeping comfortably on your bed. :-X
In other news, I have no idea what to do with my life! Thank God for NS I suppose. Two years to think of what I want to study in uni. :-X Oh oh! And live range on Monday! :D :D :D :D See you guys on Thursday! (If I am not wrong, this coming Friday is Good Friday isn’t it? BOOYAHHHH! :D EARLY BOOK-OUT!….I hope!)
